This workshop helps your dog learn to meet other dogs while on leash and teaches you how to keep your dog calm in situations that might come up on a walk. By addressing barking and lunging then reinforcing calmness, your dog can learn to interact with other dogs or distractions in a positive way. RSVP required.

Besides being an excellent bonding exercise, the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen title is a prerequisite for many therapy dog certifications, as well as a great introduction to more advanced dog sports and activities. Some homeowners’ insurance programs even offer discounts for CGC dogs and an increasing number of apartments and condos see CGC awards as a major bonus for becoming a resident.

SPECIAL: The test and completion ribbon are included with this workshop and available after the workshop to anyone who feels ready (must pass the test to take home ribbon/title). RSVP required as space is limited.

We will have some light snacks and refreshments available for people and pups as well as a professional photographer to take photos of your dog, photos will be available for free online after the event.
